About us
La Fabril
 In 1947 an ambitious
and visionary man, Angel Soler Serra, founded La
Fabril de Aceites S.A. de C.V. (La Fabril), a company dedicated to the production of
edible oils and shortenings. Initially, La Fabril was founded in the city of San Miguel,
due to the vast quantities of cotton seed in the area, but today the central offices and
factory are in Soyapango, just 10 min outside the capital city of San Salvador.
La Fabril
continues to innovate in its packaging and manufacturing processes in order
to be more competitive in the national and regional markets. Some innovations include:
new doypack plastic bags for the wholesale market and PET bottles for the premium
lines of edible oils derived from sunflower and corn.
The majority of the products that we distribute
are for consumption and domestic and are manufactured in Central America, Brazil,
Europe and the United States.
La Fabril
has over 55 years of experience in the Salvadorian market and relies on more than
300 employees. We are manufacturers and distributors of the edible vegetable oil
“ORISOL” and the shortening brands “ORISOL and OROSI”; leaders in
the national markets, including the wholesale market, small stores, supermarket, institutions,
bakeries, and hotels.
Social Programs
La Fabril directly
supports the need for social reform especially in the area of education. The
company has identified a school, El Centro Escolar Jardines de Monte Blanco,
and provides direct aid via educational grants as well as the construction of
buildings and recreational facilities.
In addition to educational
aid, La Fabril contributes to the socioeconomic development of El Salvador through
sponsorships to: Hogar del Niño, Hospital Benjamín Bloom, and Club Ágape among others.
